Traditional Chinese Medicine
Acupuncture stimulates the flow of Qi (energy in the body). It corrects imbalances in the channel system and improves circulation. This enables tension and tightness in the musculoskeletal system to be released, painful conditions to be treated and the organ systems to function more effectively.
Acupuncture originated in China over 2000 years ago and is one of the oldest forms of medicine still in use.
Chinese acupuncture uses very fine sterile needles which are inserted into carefully selected points on the body. The sensation experienced is often described as a tingling or dull ache. Needles are usually retained for about 20 minutes.
